Best Supporting Actor Odds
HOLLYWOOD, CA (The Spread) – The category with the best competition for the 2013 Oscars is Best Supporting Actor. Here is a look at the odds to win this award.
The Grammys take place this Sunday at 8PM ET and will air live on ABC. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Christoph Waltz and Tommy Lee Jones each have odds of +125 to take home the Oscar. Robert De Niro also is in the mix, as he has a money line of +600.
Waltz is nominated for his role as Dr. King Schultz in Django Unchained. He won the Golden Globe and BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor. He won this very honor in 2009 for his role in Inglourious Basterds.
Jones is nominated for his role as Thaddeus Stevens in the movie Lincoln. He came up short to Waltz in many award shows, but did top him at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. He has been nominated for Best Actor in the past and won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 1993 for The Fugitive.
De Niro is up for his role as Pat Solitano Sr. in the movie Silver Linings Playbook. De Niro has been nominated in most award shows but losing to the likes of Waltz and Jones. He has won an Oscar for Best Actor (Raging Bull) and Best Supporting Actor (The Godfather Part II) in the past.
