Titans vs. Jaguars Week 12 Odds
JACKSONVILLE, FL (The Spread) – Two struggling teams will square off on Sunday when the Jaguars host the Titans at 1:00PM ET.
TENNESSEE: The Titans snapped a two-game losing streak with a 37-3 win over the Dolphins two weeks ago. Jake Locker completed 9-of-21 passes for 122 yards with two touchdowns in his return from a shoulder injury. Chris Johnson also rushed for 126 yards on 23 carries with one touchdown, while Kenny Britt caught two passes for 36 yards. The win improved the Titans’ record to 4-6 and 4-6 against the spread, and it was the first time Tennessee covered the spread since a 35-34 win over the Bills in Buffalo. Unless they win out, the Titans are unlikely to make the postseason.
JACKSONVILLE: The Texans handed the Jaguars their seventh straight loss last Sunday in a 43-37 overtime victory. Chad Henne threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions while subbing for the injured Blaine Gabbert, who was knocked out of the contest in the first half and didn’t return. Jacksonville did cover the spread as a 16-point underdog and is now 5-5 against the number this season. In fact, the Jaguars have covered in three of their last five games, even though 0-5 straight up over that span. As a double-digit road underdog they’re 2-0 this season, with close losses to Green Bay and Houston. Henne will draw the start on Sunday. ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Titans are 3-point favorites over the Jaguars, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 43.5 points. Tennessee is 4-6 overall and 2-3 on the road this season, while Jacksonville is 1-9 overall and 0-5 at home. TRENDS: The under is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams and 4-1 in the last five meetings in Jacksonville. The Titans are also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in November but 0-4-1 ATS in their last five divisional games. The Jaguars, meanwhile, are 0-5 against the number in their last five home games.
