Torrey Smith Prop Odds
NEW ORLEANS, LA (The Spread) – Torrey Smith is a big deep-threat receiver for the Ravens. Will he make the big play in Super Bowl XLVII against the 49ers?
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Smith has been given odds of 20/1 to be the Super Bowl MVP on Sunday. He also has over/under odds of 65.5 receiving yards and 3.5 receptions for the game against the 49ers.
Smith has caught 49 passes this season for 855 yards per game. That is an average of 17.4 yards per reception and 53.4 yards per game. Smith has been very hit and miss throughout the season. He has had four games with at least 5 catches during the regular season, but also had eight games with two receptions or less. In the playoffs, Smith has caught nine passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns. One of the other stats to consider for Smith is longest reception, which has been set at 29.5 yards. Smith has had eight games this season, including the playoffs with a catch of at least 30 yards.
San Francisco had one of the top passing defenses in the NFL this season, as the 49ers ranked fourth in the NFL in passing yards allowed, giving up just 200.2 yards per contest. The Ravens haven’t had too much trouble moving the ball through the air this season, as they threw for 324 yards on the Broncos’ defense in the divisional playoff round. San Francisco also allowed Atlanta to throw for 396 yards on them in the NFC Championship, which included some deep balls. It appears that Smith could have some opportunities to make some big receptions throughout the game.
