The Falcons come into this game as the slight favorite, as they have odds of -2.5 points against the Seahawks on Sunday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 46 points. Clearly the key to this game will be the play of Matt Ryan and Russell Wilson, respectively. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Wilson has been given over/under odds of 42.5 rushing yards, while Matt Ryan has been given over/under odds of 277.5 passing yards.

Ryan has been a great quarterback for the Falcons, but he has been lacking in the playoffs. He threw for just 199 yards in last year’s loss to the Giants, 186 yards in a loss to the Packers two years ago and 199 yards in his rookie season against the Cardinals. This season, Ryan threw for an impressive 4,719 yards and 32 touchdowns. That is an average of 294.9 yards per game. He has thrown for at least 278 yards in nine of the team’s 16 games. Seattle had the sixth-best passing defense in the NFL this season, allowing just 203.1 passing yards per game.

Wilson has been improving as a quarterback throughout his rookie season, but he has a chance to do some things with his legs as much as his arm in today’s game. Last week, Wilson rushed for 67 yards on eight carries to go with his 187 passing yards. This season, Wilson has rushed for 489 yards during the regular season. He eclipsed 43 rushing yards just three times during the regular season, but has topped that mark in four of his last six games, including the playoff win over the Redskins. One reason Wilson may succeed is the Falcons have had issues stopping mobile quarterback this season, mainly Cam Newton. Newton rushed for 86 yards at Atlanta early in the season, and then rushed for 116 yards against them in Week 14. Michael Vick also had 42 rushing yards against the Falcons in Week 8.
