COLLEGE FOOTBALL FREE PICK: Stanford is 15-5-1 ATS L21 conference games and is 16-5-1 ATS L22 road games. Last year: Oregon (+3) over STANFORD, 53-30. Stanford will try to end Oregon’s BCS Championship hopes with an upset road win. That may not happen but they should cover this one. The Cardinal has the defense to at least slow down Oregon. Nobody can really stop their offense. But Stanford holds opponents to a conference-best 320.7 yards per game, leading the nation by limiting teams to 58.8 yards per game on the ground. QB Kevin Hogan, a redshirt freshman, had a tough test though he played well last week in their 27-23 home win over Oregon State. He completed 22 of 29 for 254 yards and three TDs. He’ll need to have a monster game for the upset.
