Howard practices with Lakers
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) - Dwight Howard has participated in his first practice with the Los Angeles Lakers, going through a lengthy workout with no concerns about his surgically repaired back. View 2012-2013 NBA Finals Odds Howard worked out with the Lakers' new starting five Tuesday during an afternoon practice at the Lakers' training complex. The six-time All-Star center had surgery to repair a herniated disc in his back last spring. He hasn't committed to any timetable for his debut with the Lakers, who acquired him in a four-team trade in August. Kobe Bryant says Howard looked as healthy as any other player. Pau Gasol also was impressed after going up against Howard during one-on-one drills. Howard says he feels fine, but doesn't know if he's close to full health.
