Friday's NBA Opening Odds
(The Spread) - There's a full slate of action in the NBA tonight, including a couple of lopsided matchups that bettors might be able to take advantage of. The Heat will put their 24-game winning streak on the line when they host the Pistons at 7:30PM ET tonight. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Miami is a 15.5-point favorite over Detroit, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 199 points. The Pistons are 8-20-1 against the spread in their last 29 games versus the Heat, who are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games versus Detroit. At 7:00PM ET the Raptors will host the Knicks as a 1-point home favorite. The under is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams and 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Toronto. Meanwhile, the underdog is 13-3 against the spread in the last 16 meetings but the Knicks are just 1-5 ATS in their last six games versus the Raptors. Later tonight the Celtics will travel to Dallas to take on the mavericks, who are 5-point favorites. The underdog is 6-1 against the spread in the last seven meetings between these two teams and the road squad is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. But the Celtics haven't fared well versus the Mavericks in recent games, going 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings. The Thunder will also be in action tonight as they'll visit the Magic as a 12.5-point favorite at 7:00PM ET. Oklahoma City is 1-4 against the spread in its last five games versus the NBA Southeast and 1-4 ATS in its lat five games following an ATS win. The Magic, meanwhile, are 4-0 against the number in their last four games versus the NBA Northwest.
