Kenseth wins Good Sam 500

TALLADEGA, AL (TheSpread) – Matt Kenseth got a much-needed win on Sunday, as he won the Good Sam 500 from Talladega Superspeedway to get back in the Chase for the Championship.

Kenseth got the win while a big wreck took place on the final lap as Tony Stewart attempted to hold off other drivers for a win, but instead got caught up in a wreck that impacted 25 cars.

The wreck allowed Kenseth to win under caution while a number of Chase drivers saw their day go down in flames. Jeff Gordon finished second while Kyle Busch took third.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kenseth had odds of 10/1 to win this race, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $1,000.

Kenseth stays in 12^th in the standings with the win, but is within 62 points of the lead now. Brad Keselowski is still in first place, 12 points ahead of Jimmie Johnson. Keselowski took seventh on Sunday while Johnson placed 17^th.
